March 19 Time to step into the futureI have recently been thinking of starting the blogging process. Mostly been considering the vlog scenario but I figure a combination of the two approaches are most efficient. Not sure the internet needs another pointless view of the world, economy, or markets but what the hell. As they say, opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and they all stink. So, here we go.
Anyway, this has been a real busy year. Lots going on with a freshman in college and a freshman in high school, and as you can imagine they each have their developing lives to help manage. Also, began a serious venture into trading the markets. This has consumed much free time. The market is a great educator and has been teaching me well. This has been so much fun and spending the time with it has been very enjoyable.
I also had been coaching a small group of 9 and 10 year old girls with regard to Alpine racing. A majority of the time is to ski with them and just get them to the point of having fun skiing in all conditions and all terrain. This was a blast. Very rewarding after a long week in Denver at work. Some Saturdays were tough to get up and go, but once arriving and receiving the greetings from the girls it was a great way to enjoy the abundance of snow Steamboat has received this year.
Finally, the major project taken on in 2008 is the Private Pilot Certification. As most people, I decided there was no need for extra money to be around the house. This endeavor has provided the perfect avenue in which to funnel that cash. Flying is absolutely one of the most fun things I have taken on. There is a real challenge in learning this process. I have successfully completed by first solo and look forward to running this through to completion this summer. |
